Each social studies SOL review game includes 25 questions. Question types include multiple choice, multiple select, short response, true/false, fill in the blank, ordering events, and labeling maps.
Each question is linked to a slide with the answer so that students can quickly and easily check their answers.

Each of the Virginia Studies SOL Jeopardy Games in this resource has versions for BOTH PowerPoint and Google Slides. The questions used with each version are the same.
How are these interactive social studies review games played?
The PowerPoint version of this Jeopardy-style game should be played in presentation mode. Category values disappear when they are clicked on. The category values can be reset anytime by exiting the presentation and reopening it. You can type scores onto a scoreboard while playing in presentation mode. The presentation has been coded to help you easily navigate from the category board to questions and answers without scrolling.
The Google Slides version of this Jeopardy-style review game should be played in full screen, edit mode. Instructions and a video tutorial are provided that show how this is done. You can type scores onto a scoreboard but the category values do not disappear when they are clicked on. This is a limitation of Google Slides. But, markers are provided alongside the category board that you can drag and drop over the category values after they have been used. The presentation has been coded to help you easily navigate from the category board to questions and answers without scrolling.

What are other teachers saying?
“These are games that actually work the way they are supposed to! I love that when the students answer a question it disappears and they can easily see which questions have not been answered. This can be completed whole group, small groups, and even individually. This will definitely be used for SOL reviews before the spring test. Thank you for making great products that actually work and are based on Virginia SOLs.” (Ms. Martin)
