What is included with this resource?
This resource includes 36 slides with information about air pressure systems, cloud types, storm types, weather instruments, weather predictions, and the differences between weather and climate. The slides provide definitions, examples, and opportunities for discussion.
A PDF worksheet for students to complete as they go through the presentation. The worksheet allows students to create their own definitions and write examples.
The last 30 slides of the presentation are an interactive, self-checking quiz. The quiz features 10 questions about the information taught in the slideshow presentation. What standards are covered?
This Weather Presentation is specifically aligned to the Virginia Science SOL 4.4, although it closely aligns with most science standards related to air pressure systems, cloud types, storm types, weather instruments, weather predictions, and the differences between weather and climate.
This resource has been updated to align with the 2018 Science SOLs AND the 2025 Science Instructional Guides.
