Line Graphs Jeopardy Game (Math SOL 4.PS.1)
This Line Gaphs Jeopardy Game includes a fun, Jeopardy-style game to review creating and interpreting line graphs. Versions of the review game are included for both PowerPoint and Google Slides.
What will students review with this Line Graphs Jeopardy Game?
25 questions are included in a Jeopardy-style game to review and practice the following skills:
- Formulate questions that require the collection or acquisition of data.
- Determine the data needed to answer a formulated question (observations/research, polls/surveys, experiments, measurements, etc.).
- Organize and represent a data set using line graphs with a title and labeled axes with whole number increments.
- Analyze data represented in line graphs.
- Describe the characteristics of the data represented in a line graph and the data as a whole (e.g., the time period when the temperature increased the most).
- Identify parts of the data that have special characteristics and explain the meaning of the greatest, the least, or the same (e.g., the highest temperature shows the warmest day).
- Make inferences about data represented in line graphs.
- Draw conclusions about the data and make predictions based on the data to answer questions.
- Solve single-step and multistep addition and subtraction problems using data from line graphs.
Each question is linked to a slide with the answer so that students can quickly and easily check their answers.
What formats of the game are provided?
This resource includes versions of the Line Graphs Jeopardy Game for BOTH PowerPoint and Google Slides. The questions used with each version are the same.
How is this graphing interactive game played?
The PowerPoint version of this Jeopardy-style game should be played in presentation mode. Category values disappear when they are clicked on. The category values can be reset anytime by exiting the presentation and reopening it. You can type scores onto a scoreboard while playing in presentation mode. The presentation has been coded to help you easily navigate from the category board to questions and answers without scrolling.
The Google Slides version of this Jeopardy-style review game should be played in full screen, edit mode. Instructions and a video tutorial are provided that show how this is done. You can type scores onto a scoreboard but the category values do not disappear when they are clicked on. This is a limitation of Google Slides. But, markers are provided alongside the category board that you can drag and drop over the category values after they have been used. The presentation has been coded to help you easily navigate from the category board to questions and answers without scrolling.

What are other teachers saying?
“These are games that actually work the way they are supposed to! I love that when the students answer a question it disappears and they can easily see which questions have not been answered. This can be completed whole group, small groups, and even individually. This will definitely be used for SOL reviews before the spring test. Thank you for making great products that actually work and are based on Virginia SOLs.” (Ms. Martin)
