Context Clues Task Cards
Context Clues Task Cards are a great resource for practice with using context clues to identify a word within a sentence. This resource includes 24 task cards, a student response worksheet, an answer key, and a self-checking version for Google Forms. Questions are open-ended and multiple choice.
What will students review with these task cards?
With these Context Clues Task Cards, students will:
- Determine the meaning of a word as it is used in a sentence.
- Identify what word best completes a sentence.
What standards are covered?
These Context Clues Task Cards are specifically aligned to the Virginia SOLs: 3.4c, 3.4d, 4.4a, and 5.4a.
While they are specifically aligned with the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOLs), they also align to most standards related to using context clues.
Is a digital version included?
This Context Clues Task Cards resource includes BOTH a digital version and a PDF version. The digital version can be accessed through Google Forms and allows students to easily self-check their work. You can also use the Google Forms task cards to track student progress.
