Boston Massacre Investigation

This Boston Massacre Investigation is the perfect activity for integrating social studies concepts and literacy skills! Students will make inferences and draw concludes about the Boston Massacre by rotating through five centers. Each center features first and second-hand accounts of the Boston Massacre.

As students rotate through the centers, they record evidence in their Boston Massacre Detective Notebook (included). After students have rotated through all the centers, they will use the information in their detective notebook to write a newspaper article. In the articles, students will use their evidence to draw conclusions about whether the British soldiers were guilty.

Students love this hands-on, inference-based activity and minimal setup is required!
