3rd Grade Social Studies Escape Rooms
Each Virginia SOL-aligned 3rd Grade Social Studies Escape Room has a unique theme. In some, they are time-traveling back in time to study ancient cultures when their time machine malfunctions. In others, they are trapped in a room and must find keys to escape. Whether fixing their time machine or searching for keys, students must successfully complete several challenges related to the 3rd Grade Social Studies SOLs.
These 3rd Grade Social Studies Escape Rooms are a great way to engage students and to get them up and moving as they review civics and government, world geography, economics, and ancient world cultures.

The students loved doing this as a review for the test. We started and worked for an hour and they are about half way done. Several are having problems with adding the long list of numbers. They also found a couple mistakes. On the Key with the state pictures beside the letters, R should be Louisiana rather than the state that is pictured. On the student answer sheet, the letter E is missing from Station 6 answer box.
We were able to figure it out but thought you would want to know.
Love this activity! A challenge is good for them.
