Have you ever been convinced that you would never Have you ever been convinced that you would never be able to do something ever again? Or, maybe during this season of COVID, you've been making lists of things you'll never do again?

A few years ago, I was completely bedridden and unable to walk. Being is such a terrible physical state left me in a pretty bad mental state too. I would lay in bed making lists of all the things I was certain I would never ever be able to do again.

Now that time has passed, I have been going back to that list and attempting to do the things I never thought I would do again. For the first #vlog on my #youtube channel, I am excited to take you along on one of these adventures!

After losing the ability to walk, mountain hiking was completely out of the question. But, last week, I went mountain hiking for the first time in almost 10 years! It was hard. At times, I didn't think I could keep going. But, it was totally worth it and helped in my continued journey of transforming my mindset.

I hope you will enjoy watching this first vlog and that it inspires you to take steps to do something seemingly impossible!

You can find the vlog by copying/pasting the following link or by clicking the YouTube link in my bio. https://youtu.be/uLNhltbieXc
What is your favorite part of spring?🌼 I love b What is your favorite part of spring?🌼 I love being able to get outside to breathe fresh air, take in nature, and soak up some vitamin D.

If you have followed me for long, you know how transforming my mindset has changed my life. I went from being a bedridden chick with a chronic disease and a negative attitude to a woman living her best life in spite of dealing with daily chronic disease. But, this year in lockdown and isolation has definitely taken a toll on my mental health. Some days, I can feel myself reverting back to those negative tendencies.

The change in seasons has brought more opportunities to be outside and it is exactly what I needed. I have been spending time outdoors several days per week and I can feel the positive effect it is having on my body and mind.

What are you doing to take care of your body and mind after a year of lockdown? Let me know in the comments below.

We’ve been working on something super exciting f We’ve been working on something super exciting for the #youtube channel! For the past year, we’ve been posting teacher tutorials, resources, and ideas every week to Vestal’s 21st Century Classroom channel.

We never dreamed that our channel would grow to over 16,000 subscribers in under a year. So, to celebrate our upcoming one year anniversary on YouTube, we’re creating something you all have been asking for... #vlogs!

We’ll still be posting our regular tutorials and teaching ideas videos, but we’ll also be weaving some of our vlogs in too!

We can’t wait to take you along on our adventures and share more about the journeys we’ve been on in both life and business.

And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Vestal’s 21st Century Classroom vlog if my sidekick, Penny Lane, didn’t make an appearance. Here is a sneak peek of the fun you will see in our first vlog that will be released in a few days.

Make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel (link in bio) so that you are the first to know when our vlogs and all of our other teaching videos go live!
Have you seen those neat digital pixel activities Have you seen those neat digital pixel activities for students? You know, those activities where an image slowly appears as students type the correct answers in a spreadsheet.

I used to see teachers using these pixel activities and thought they looked so fun. But, I've always been a little intimidated about using formulas in spreadsheets.

A few months ago, I learned that creating these digital pixel activities is not hard or scary at all. Yes, these activities do require using a formula in Google Sheets, but they are actually very simple to set up and use!

Check out my latest #youtube video to learn how you can create your digital pixel activities for students. These activities are perfect for end of the year review and test prep. 🎶How do you write like you’re running out of 🎶How do you write like you’re running out of time?
Write day and night like you’re running out of time?
How do you write like tomorrow won’t arrive?
How do you write like you need it to survive?
How do write every second your alive?🎶

I get a lot of questions about how to write a book or what it is like writing a book. Whenever I get questions, these #hamilton lyrics always pop in my head.

Essentially, you write non-stop until until the final draft is done. Then, it goes through multiple rounds of editing and layout until it is perfect and ready to be published.

I am excited that as of this morning, I can finally take a break from my keyboard. I have been writing nonstop for about a month and, this morning, I just submitted the final draft of my third book to my editor!🥳

Of all the children’s books I have written, this is the one I am most excited about and I can’t wait for it to go to publishing so that I can share it with you!

Do you have any questions about how to write a book or book writing process? Leave them in the comments below.👇
